6 fruits that assist in detoxification and alleviating fullness

Incorporating bananas into your diet, along with consuming orange and lime juices or coconut water, can significantly diminish bloating and stomach discomfort when paired with regular exercise and a reduction in alcohol intake.

Dr. Bui Dac Sang of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and the Traditional Medicine Association of Hanoi City explains that the common issues of bloating and indigestion often stem from the intake of excessive oily foods and irregular meal patterns. He suggests the following fruits as remedies for these conditions

Lime juice

Limes, abundant in vitamin C and antioxidants, offer about 30 mg of vitamin C from a 60-gram serving, fulfilling 30% of an adult's daily recommended intake. They also provide essential micronutrients like magnesium, iron, potassium, and vitamin A, which are crucial for immune system strength. These nutrients aid liver function in bile production, facilitating digestion.

Additionally, lime juice serves as a liver detoxifier, promoting the liver's cleansing process and assisting in the detoxification from alcohol. Other citrus fruits similarly accelerate the body's alcohol metabolism.

However, due to their sourness and acidity, those with stomach or intestinal sensitivities are advised to moderate lime intake.
